Wow! Sorry I've been totally off on hiatus!

Wow, I really haven't posted in forever and I have a million excuses but it all comes down to: I'm lazy. Hahaha, I'm a failure. :'(...;) I still haven't posted a review on the Naked Palette like I said I would, I'm working on a clothing segment on How to Dress up a Casual Tank. But as for today how about an NOTD? Pssstt!!! NOTD means Nail of the Day!...your welcome! ;) So I saw this picture online and I completely fell in love with the nails, especially for summer!

So, I went through my many polishes and found colors close (except you can't really see the thumb in the picture but it looks orange-y so I found an orange I liked with the look!) and came up with this.

(I realize the pic isn't the best! I only have my phone and its all awkward cause I was trying to get my thumb in there! :)

Its (from thumb to pinkie) China Glaze Peachy Keen, China Glaze Sugar High, A random Blue from Justice, China Glaze Lemon Fizz, and Milani Techno Red. All the China Glazes are from the Up, Up, and Away collection and the Milani is from the Neon collection (the Justice one is just random). Essie Shorts Story would be a closer match for the pink as it is more purple toned but I didn't have it :( I like my manicure though! Also this little Justice Blue I have found as a close dupe for Zoya Robyn.

Anywho, that's it for this post! Lots of things to look forward to, I'm planning a Naked Palette review with several looks, a Dress up Tank Top segment, a homemade skin and hair care segment, and much more!!! Make sure to keep checking for updates, and I'm gonna try to not leave ya'll again for so long! Bye :D

Florida haul, Tea Party, and NOTD!!!

Hey guys!!!! WOW! I haven't posted in forever! I'm sorry! :P Disney was amazing, I am a baby and I definately cried meeting the princesses cause it remended me of when I was little haha...and again during the rides...and again during the fireworks...yeah ;)

Dude Harry Potter was AMAZING, it felt like I was like at Hogwarts and in Hogsmeade, it was epic. I drank Butterbeer, got a wand...EEP! I was like amazed. (I'm such a geek)

The rest of Universal was cool but not AS cool...there was this Jimmy Neutron nickolodeon ride that made my life though haha I'm such a loser! Oh and I don't ride roller coasters soooo yeah

Anyway, onto the haul, I went to 2 malls, the Florida Mall and the Mall at Milennia...EPICNESS. They were the best part (for a shopaholic like me at least) so first I went to the Mall at Milennia and I went to Forever 21 and the MAC pro store. At Forever 21 I got an orange-y, flowy top and a pair of brown strappy heels.

For some reason my camera failed here :P
Close up of detail on the sleeve
 Mahhh shoes!
These shoes hurt like crap I mean OWW! But they are sooo freaking cute so I tolerate :)

Then at the MAC Pro store I made a 4 color palette thingy with Bio Green, Chrome Yellow, Aqua, and Electric Eel. Bio Green and I think Aqua are MAC Pro colors which means you can only get them at MAC Pro stores and I'm not  sure about the other two. I also got an eye pencil in Proccess Magenta and the Brush Cleaner.

All the products together
The eyeshadows the green is Bio Green, yellow is Chrome Yellow, blue is Electric Eel, and the aqua is well Aqua :)
The pencil, which is a million times brighter in real life and epic.

The next day I went to the Florida Mall and I went to Forever 21 again and got a multi-colored flowy top, a bow necklace, a bracelet, and two nail polishes.

This color is called Yellow and its not quite a yolk colored yellow but its not highlighter either. Its sparkly and has little clear-ish flakies.

This color is called Light Green and has a clear base packed with green sparkles and flakies that in some light looks red and some orange and sometimes the green sprakles reflect off the flakies making them look yellowish and greenish. Its absolutely gorgeous, I have it layered over black right now and I can't stop staring!

Then I went to Charlotte Russe and got 4 tank tops, one in hott pink, one in lime green, one in baby blue, and one in peach.

I also got these freaking adorable ear plugs that have bows at the ends!!!

Then I was walking to Sephora and was passing dELiA*s when I saw some bright red shorts in the window and I have wanted some since like forever so I bought them :)

The look a bit orange tinted here but they are really red like bright neon RED not tinted orange or pink or anthing just red and I love them :)

Lastly I went to Sephora and saw this cute little box from Urban Decay

Its this sparkly lickable body powder. They had it in Honey, Chocolate, and Marshmallow. I bought the marshmallow! Now I don't have a boyfriend to be licking up on my marshmallow tasting skin but nevertheless this stuff was sparkly, smelled amazing, and freaking tasted like marshmallow fluff, heck yeah I bought it. ;)
I also got these cute little flower decals for my nails!

I also ordered online a zebra rhinestone case for my iPod Touch andddd *drumroll* the Urban Decay Naked Palette!!! I have wanted this for so long! I am going to do a separate post for the Naked Palette because I'm going to do a review! Let me tell you though its epic :)

Thus concludes my haul, oh! wait! I sorta have one last part. I got two new kitties!!!
Ollie and Ellie! :) Aren't the cute??? *dies* I love them soo much!

And I want to show ya'll my outfit I wore to my little sister's tea party yesterday!

I feel like its very tea party-esque what with all the lace and stuff. I got this dress at Charlotte Russe a few months ago and I am in LOVE with it, I like mixing it with modern pieces when I wear it out, it makes a very interesting look! Very cute if I may say so myself. ;) This is my first time wearing it by itself, I'm not sure if I would out but for this special tea party I did, I mean Minnie Mouse was there for goodness sakes!!!
These are some cute shoes I got from Payless a few weeks ago. I liked the way they looked with the dress..espaecially for a tea party :)
Toes are China Glaze Sun Worshipper if anyone wanted to know! :)

Picture just cause I liked the way my hair did
Anddd!!! Last but not least my current NOTD.
In the first picture you can see the green sparkles best and in the second you can really see the flakies! This is one coat of American Apparel Hassid (which is just a black creme) with Love & Beauty Light Green on top. It was one coat of the Light Green but it wasn't a real thin coat, I mean it wasn't gloppy but it was a thick-ish coat. If you were to do a really thin coat you might want to do 2 if you want it to look like this but you may like the look of  a thin one :)

So that's all for this post! Talk to you guys soon! Tune in for the Naked Palette review :)

What I'm wanting, Disney, and 3 Followers!

EEEEPPP!!!!!!!!!!! I have 3 followers! Hahaha :) I was scared everyone would be like pshh who is this girl attempting to do a blog, but 3 people have decided I'm tolerable. :D (<-- Imagine this face 20 times happier, this is me right now)  :)

Ok so more awesome news, I am currently at The Portofino Bay at Universal Studios! Major happy face. So I don't know what ya'll are doing this week but I will be at Harry Potter getting a wand from Ollivander's, drinking Butterbear, and going to Hogwarts. Be jealous. ;) I am also doing the other fun stuff at Universal and Disney!!! And don't forget the Mall at Milennia that has a MAC Pro Store. I'm hoping to get some awesome shopping done so I can do my first haul post! Just wanted to say that and that if I don't post for a couple days, its because I'm busy having fun.

Anywho, you know what I'm really really wanting? A pair of bright yellow heels. Not mustard colored, lemon colors, nice and high, pumps not wedges. Charlotte Russe had these perfect shoes:

BUT alas, they are not in my size. :'( I will find something similar though, it is my mission. In the meantime, I will buy the pretty blue ones. :)
Oh and I bought these on an impulse. Complete guilty pleasure shoes. ;) They iz rainbow and sparkly!!! :DDD Love :)
Patent Uber Covered Platform PumpOk well I guess thats it! I will try to post again soon, talk to you guys later!!!

Review of Tarte Glow Your Way to Gorgeous 8 Piece Maracuja & Clay Collection

Ok so for my first makeup related post <insert super excited face here> I am going to do a review of the Tarte Glow Your Way to Gorgeous 8 Piece Maracuja & Clay Collection. (I was going to just be like Tarte Collection, but for you lovely people who love to skip the title--me ;)--I wrote it all again...your welcome) haha :) So anyway this was the Today's Special Value on QVC and for the life of me I cannot remember the price! It was 2? easy payments of 20 something?...well anyway, the 2 brushes it comes with, the prices of those combined was more than the whole 8 piece set whose actual retail value was like $195, so YAY! good deal! (Does that sentence sound like its worded funny?) Anyway you get:
  • Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer (Worldwide Launch)
  • Tarte SmolderEYES waterproof eyeliner Fig (plum-y brown)
  • Tarte Lip Luster in Sweet (light, soft pink with gold shimmer)
  • Tarte Waterproof Cream Shadow Pot in Shimmering Taupe (basically a shimmering taupe)
  • Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara in Black
  • Tarte 12 Hour Wear Clay Blush in Peaceful (peachy rose)
  • Tarte Deluxe Mineral Powder Bronzer in Park Ave Princess
  • Tarte Pure Maracuja Oil Deluxe Sample
  • Tarte Shadow Brush
  • Tarte Blush Brush
  • Tarte Sharpener
  • Tarte Makeup Bag
I know your probably thinking, well this is 12 things, and technically, it is but I don't think its counting the 2 Brushes, the Sharpener, or the Tarte Makeup Bag it all comes in, as those aren't actually "products". But onto the review.

This is a retail picture of the whole set (because I forgot to take one)

Here is the mascara

For some reason the swatch photo ended wayyy up here...failure...anyway these are (in order): The lipluster, Smoldereyes, Blush, Bronzer, and the Shadow
 LipLuster
 Blush
 Brushes
 Concealer
 Maracuja Oil
 SmolderEyes
 Shadow
 Sharpener
 Bronzer

<insert missing picture of bag here> :) failure!

Here is a look a made using almost nothing but these products. The only other product I used was my Laura Mercier Mineral Pressed Powder in Natural Beige. The only product I didn't use in the Tarte set was the Maracuja Oil.

Blush

 LipLuster
Close ups of eyemakeup using the Shadow and the SmolderEyes, and Mascara

 The whole face

(Wow, I look really unfashionable here...failure. Oh well, I did this at like 10 PM, I was ready for bed :)

I give the whole set a thumbs up. I like every color a lot, and I found them all to work well. Every product works well together as a set and separately. I would highly reccommend any one of these products. The only product I haven't tried is the Maracuja Oil but my mom uses it and she told me to tell you guys she likes and would reccommend it! I really like Tarte's products because I find that they work well and they also don't have any bad products like parabens. (Even though I still use products with that stuff in it, it feels nice to put something on your face you know isn't going to hurt you :) Actually HUGE rave for this mascara, I've actually been using it since it first came out and it is my only mascara, I love it to pieces. Its AMAZING! I reccommend the mascara the most but the whole collection is awesome!

So, thus concludes my first Review. I'm not sure how I did, please comment and let me know! :) Also, is my lighting ok? I can't tell. And I was thinking of starting a Youtube channel so I can do tutorials for stuff like this! :) Let me know what you think! Thanks so much for looking!

Love,
Christina

Getting Started and Living in the South

Wow. Ok. I have a blog. This is new. First post...what to say? I guess I should actually let you know what I'm actually doing. Yeah, thats sounds good. So if you want to know about me there is that cute little "About Me" column right over there
<---

So basically, this is a Fashion blog. Everyday or so I will blog about my day of fashion, whether it be makeup, clothes, nails, etc. Some posts will include pictures like you know Outfits of the Day (OOTDs), Face of the Day (FOTD)--which is like makeup of the day, etc. If I buy something (fashion related duh) and wanna talk about it, I will blog it. I'm hoping this will be fun, I mean it will be for me but hopefully for ya'll too.

As you can see (unless your blind which would mean of course you wouldn't be reading this in the first place) I just said ya'll. I said ya'll because I live in the South, I'm a Southerner (is that a word? is that how you spell it? oh well) and being a fashion obsessed chic in the South is a unique experience. Most people "go out" in Guy Harvey T-shirts and jeans. Their brand name product to be proud of is their Rainbows. I walk around in a casual sundress and wedges and a Juicy Couture purse and I'm "dressed up". Its kinda awkward because nobody really understands why you only wear your T-shirts to bed and why, to you, hunting and fishing and mudbogging make you want to puke. I put 2 different colors of eyeshadow on and suddenly I'm the world's best makeup artist. Its kinda fun though cause everyone thinks your amazing and everyone comes to you for advice. I think it sort of fueled my obsession.

Oh, but, I don't want anyone to think I'm totally criticizing the South! I'm not saying anyone looks bad, people look gorgeous down here! Some amazing Southern Belles :) Like Elle and Blair Fowler, better known as Allthatglitters21 and Juicystar07, Youtube beauty gurus who started down here in the South! :D I just don't share the same fashion view as most I know, and I'm not saying this is how every Southerner dresses, but in my school, its how it goes. There are other fashion obsessed Southerners, just none that I know! Just wanted to make sure nobody thinks I'm bashing the South, girls below the Mason Dixon line are just as gorgeous as the ones above it. :)

Anyway its like 1 in the morning and I'm tired and I am pretty sure that is a roach on the curtains so on that note...Goodnight :)
